Samsung Wallet has announced that it will soon support digital keys for Mercedes-Benz cars. Starting next month, you’ll be able to lock, unlock, and start your car directly from your Galaxy phone. This expands Samsung Wallet’s growing list of supported automakers, which already includes Hyundai, BMW, Volvo, and Audi.
Samsung is also stepping up its security. Digital keys are protected by Samsung Knox, their “government-grade” security platform, and meet stringent EAL6+4 security standards designed to keep unauthorized users out. If you lose your phone, Samsung Find lets you remotely lock or delete your digital keys, so you won’t have to worry about someone else driving off in your car.
Sharing your digital keys is simple too. Samsung Wallet users can share their keys with friends or family and set restrictions when needed. Keep in mind, not every Samsung device will support this feature.
It will work on Galaxy S21 through Galaxy S25 series (including S25 Edge), and Z Fold 3 and newer models. Availability also depends on your region and the specific Mercedes-Benz model you own. You’ll need to register your digital key through the Mercedes me app before syncing it with Samsung Wallet.
