At CES 2026, Samsung shared advancements coming to its smart refrigerator lineup. The company has now launched the 2026 Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator in its home country, South Korea. The product brings a host of AI features, smart food management, and advanced cooling technology for a seamless kitchen experience.

Samsung brings several key upgrades to its new Family Hub

Samsung will make the 2026 Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator available in two options. The freestanding model comes with a large 32-inch touchscreen, while the Kitchen Fit type features a 9-inch touchscreen and a Kitchen Fit Max design. The former costs 5.84 million won, while the latter costs 4.64 million won.

The refrigerator integrates Google Gemini-powered AI Vision to improve food recognition performance. This lets the camera inside the fridge recognize many more types of food ingredients than the previous model. Thanks to AI Food Manager, the refrigerator can track ingredients, suggest recipes, and help users plan meals. Features like “What’s for Today?” recommend dishes based on the ingredients in the refrigerator, while FoodNote reports ingredient usage weekly to support healthier eating.

Furthermore, Samsung integrates an upgraded AI voice assistant, Bixby, that offers natural conversational speech. To achieve optimal cooling performance and energy efficiency, the company uses Hybrid Cooling technology. This setup lowers the inside temperature up to 20% faster than standard refrigerators. Other features, such as Precise Temperature Control, AI Temperature Control, and Metal Cooling, enhance the refrigerator’s core performance.

The Family Hub offers solid energy efficiency as well. For example, the AI inverter compressor optimizes power consumption, while the AI Save Mode (available via SmartThings) can reduce energy usage by up to 25%. When it comes to opening or closing the refrigerator, it offers improved convenience. The Auto Door feature lets users open or close the refrigerator with a light touch or using voice commands.

The refrigerator supports Now Brief that provides personalized recommendations based on the user’s location, time, and habits. Moreover, it supports apps like YouTube and Spotify, serving as an entertainment hub. We’ll let you know when it becomes available in more regions.
