Samsung has announced that its Smart TVs are the first to support HDR10+ content across Disney+ and Hulu titles. This means you can now enjoy a more immersive viewing experience with dynamic contrast, richer colors, and improved picture quality.

HDR10+ arrives on Disney+ and Hulu Titles for Samsung TVs

Earlier this year, Samsung Smart TVs gained support for Netflix shows and movies in HDR10+. Now, Disney+ has added HDR10+ support as well, offering viewers an even higher level of picture quality. You can watch over 1,000 Hulu titles in HDR10+ through the Disney+ app. The company promised to bring more Disney+ and Hulu content in the future.

“HDR10+ revolutionizes the way we enjoy content, offering enhanced contrast and more vivid colors for an unparalleled viewing experience,” said Inbeom Kim, Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “We are delighted to introduce this technology onto Disney+ and remain committed to collaborating with various partners to broaden HDR10+ support across our product range and the wider streaming landscape.”

Co-developed by Samsung, HDR10+ is an advanced high dynamic range (HDR) video technology. It adjusts brightness and contrast so each scene is displayed with exceptional clarity. Moreover, it reacts to the ambient lighting in your room in real time to optimize visuals scene by scene.

If you have a Samsung Crystal UHD TV from 2018 or later, you can now enjoy HDR10+ content on Disney+. This includes 2025 models such as Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, OLED, The Frame Pro, The Frame, QLED, and Micro RGB. Furthermore, select Samsung Smart Monitors also support HDR10+ playback.

Apart from HDR10+, Samsung’s 2025 Smart TVs feature Vision AI, an advanced system that improves both picture and sound. The new Vision AI Companion integrates a bunch of smart features in one place, making the viewing experience more personal and intuitive. For example, you can ask your TV anything, translate closed captions in real time, and more.
