Samsung has launched a creative promotion for football fans just in time for the College Football National Championship. Called the TV Transfer Portal, the campaign will let fans enjoy the football game on a better screen — a Samsung TV. The company will open the TV Transfer Portal for a limited time from 4 PM to 9 PM ET on January 19, 2026.

Samsung will pay fans $50 to watch the championship on its TVs

Samsung is encouraging fans to “transfer” themselves from a watch party on a non-Samsung TV to one with a Samsung TV. The TV Transfer Portal will give football fans across the country a better game-day experience with Samsung’s TVs. If you are watching the championship on a non-Samsung TV during the Portal’s open hours, you can participate by sending a direct message to @SamsungUS on Instagram or X.

Note that in the message, you will need to include a photo of your current non-Samsung TV setup. The company will then pay $50 via Venmo to the first 900 eligible participants so they can use it for a rideshare to a watch party that has a Samsung TV. This way, you can move to a Samsung championship-worthy TV and catch every tackle and touchdown.

“Nothing ruins a championship watch party faster than a subpar TV setup,” said Sukhmani Mohta, Chief Marketing & Partnerships Officer, Home Entertainment at Samsung Electronics America. “Our TV Transfer Portal is a fun way to celebrate college football fandom by helping fans level up their game-day experience with the best TV technology. Championship-worthy moments deserve a championship-worthy TV, and that’s Samsung.”

Samsung is also highlighting the features of its latest TVs that improve the football-viewing experience. Some models feature the Supersize Picture Enhancer to keep images clear on very large screens. Likewise, glare-free technology reduces reflections from lights and windows. Furthermore, the company is also offering up to 50% off on select Samsung TVs until February 8, 2026.
