Samsung may introduce an anti-reflective flexible glass on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, potentially reducing the visibility of the display crease. The company will also launch a new S Pen for foldables this year. The upcoming S Pen doesn’t require a digitizer and offers a more realistic writing experience.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 may feature an anti-reflective folding display
Samsung is allegedly testing a new flexible glass with an anti-reflective coating for its future foldable devices. This upgrade aims to improve durability and reduce glare, enhancing the user experience for upcoming Fold models. The display crease has been one of the biggest complaints of Fold users, and this technology could help address it.
Already found on S Ultra flagships like the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Samsung’s anti-reflective coating is a revolutionary display tech. It substantially reduces screen glare, making it perfectly legible even in the brightest environments or under direct sunlight. On foldables, this technology can also help reduce the crease visibility.
While it’s unclear whether this year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 will debut Samsung’s anti-reflective flexible display, the company must be working towards it. It’s also unclear if it plans to equip the Flip lineup with the same solution. Samsung often keeps advanced features limited to top-tier models. Even the Galaxy S25 and S25+ lack an anti-reflective.
In addition to display improvements, Samsung is set to launch a new S Pen this year. The new stylus will feature a redesigned tip for a better writing experience. It will also have a slightly thicker build, potentially offering a more comfortable grip. But the biggest change is that it doesn’t require a digitizer, potentially making new foldables slimmer and lighter.
Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 in July or August this year. The duo might be accompanied by a more affordable Galaxy Z Flip FE and Samsung’s first tri-fold.
