Samsung is rolling out a new firmware update for its latest premium wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. The update doesn’t bring new features but focuses on boosting overall performance, improving stability, and ironing out minor bugs. It should reach users worldwide in the coming days.

Rolling out with firmware version R630XXU0AYG3, the latest update for the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro weighs 8.27MB. The changelog is pretty vague, with Samsung claiming stability and reliability improvements. This basically means fixes for some underlying bugs and software optimizations for smoother everyday performance. Don’t expect any new features or functional upgrades here.

How to update your Galaxy Buds 3 Pro?

Samsung recently separated Galaxy Buds controls from the Galaxy Wearable app. You can now manage your wireless earbuds directly from system settings on your connected smartphone. When buds are connected, they appear at the top of the Settings app, below your Samsung Account settings.

Simply select the earbuds you want to update (if you have multiple pairs connected) and scroll down to the Earbuds software update menu. Now tap Download and install to check for available updates. If the system finds a new update, you’ll be prompted to download it. Follow the on-screen instructions to download the firmware package and install it.

That’s pretty much it. Your Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is now running the latest firmware build. Note that you cannot use the earbuds during the update process. Samsung also warns that some settings may reset or change after installation, though that rarely happens.

This update is rolling out in phases and may not appear immediately for all users. If you haven’t received it yet, repeat the steps above to check for updates a few days later. While there aren’t any new features to look forward to, the performance improvements should enhance daily usage, making your Galaxy Buds 3 Pro more responsive and reliable during calls, music streaming, or workouts.
