Galaxy Tab S9 FE gets December 2025 security patch
Samsung has started rolling out the latest security update for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE in Korea. Users are receiving the new firmware with the build version DYK1, as spotted by tipster @ya_sking12767. The OTA package weighs just over 330MB. A global rollout should begin in the coming days, covering more Tab S9 FE units with this month’s security fixes.
As expected from a monthly security release, the update doesn’t introduce new features or visual changes. Instead, it focuses on patching vulnerabilities at both the Android OS and Samsung software levels, helping keep the tablet protected against newly discovered threats. The December 2025 release addresses nearly 70 vulnerabilities across the Galaxy family, including a few critical Android OS issues.
Alongside the mid-range tablet, Samsung has also pushed out a new firmware update for the Galaxy Ring. This update improves overall reliability and delivers better battery life, two areas that matter most for a device designed to be worn continuously. The Galaxy Ring update is initially rolling out in India, with a wider availability expected soon.
As usual, the rollout may happen in phases, so some users may need to wait a little longer before seeing it on their device. Samsung regularly pushes new updates to its devices to keep them secure. Users should install the latest firmware releases as soon as possible to avoid security breaches and exploitations.
