Samsung Rolls Out January 2026 Security Update for Galaxy Fit 3

It’s been several months since Samsung pushed a software update for its Galaxy Fit 3. The company has now begun rolling out the January 2026 security patch for the fitness tracker. As usual, the update is currently available in South Korea, with other regions, including the US, expected to get it in the coming weeks.

In a community post, a Galaxy Fit 3 user recently confirmed receiving a new software update in South Korea. The update includes firmware build R390XXU0AZA3, with an OTA size of 17.42 MB. It brings the January 2026 security patch to keep the fitness tracker safe from newly discovered vulnerabilities. On top of that, the build improves stability and reliability, meaning you can expect smoother performance and fewer glitches.
If you own a Galaxy Fit 3, make sure to update to the latest software as soon as possible. To install the update, you need to open the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected smartphone. Now, head over to this route: Band settings> Band software update. Tap Download and install, and the system will begin checking for available software. Make sure your tracker has enough battery charge to avoid any interruptions duing installing.
For the uninitiated, the Galaxy Fit 3 is Samsung’s most advanced fitness tracker, which debuted in 2024. The tacker features a 1.6-inch display, an aluminum body, and a battery that lasts up to 13 days on a single charge. It can track over 100 types of workouts, helping users stay motivated to reach their goals. Samsung Health platform enables a host of health monitoring features, such as sleep, blood oxygen, and heart rate. The Fit 3 also features a 5ATM and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Meanwhile, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch models have also begun picking up the January 2026 security patch in some regions. These include Galaxy Watch 4, Watch 6, and Watch 5 series.
