Samsung Rolls Out First Software Update for Galaxy S25 FE

Samsung has begun rolling out a software update for its newly launched Galaxy S25 FE. This is the device’s first update, and it is currently available in European markets. The company should push the latest build to other regions, including the US, in the coming weeks.
Galaxy S25 FE receives first update with September 2025 security patch
Debuted earlier this month, the Galaxy S25 FE is the fifth and final model in the Galaxy S25 series. The phone is eligible for seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security patches. The first update comes with the firmware version S731BXXU1AYIB (via @Koram_Akhilesh). It includes the September 2025 security patch for improved system security and stability.
With the latest security bulletin, Samsung addresses over 80 vulnerabilities across Android OS and One UI components. So, Galaxy S25 FE users can expect fixes for issues affecting device privacy and app security. While the company did not share other improvements for the device, users may still notice smoother functionality, as such updates usually focus on fixing early issues.
Samsung shipped the Galaxy S25 FE with the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box. As such, you already get the fresh Galaxy experience with advanced multimodal AI capabilities. Furthermore, One UI 8 includes plenty of hidden features, so if you have not explored them yet, you should check out our article and video.
Meanwhile, if you live in Europe, you can check for the latest firmware via Settings > Software update > Download and install. If the build is showing up, you should update it to take advantage of the improved security and possible under-the-hood enhancements. However, as mentioned above, users in other regions will have to wait until the company pushes the update to their markets. We will let you know as soon as the rollout expands. Stay tuned.
