Samsung’s Galaxy Watch is a powerful health companion for monitoring heart rate, sleep patterns, blood oxygen levels, and more. This device has helped many users detect hidden health risks early, providing preventive care. The company today shared real stories of people whose Galaxy Watches saved their lives.

How the Galaxy Watch is saving lives around the world

Roberto Gallart from Brazil is one of the people whose life was saved by his Galaxy Watch 6. Gallart felt a sudden pain in his chest during the workout. Thanks to the ECG feature, he saw four “Inconclusive heart rhythm” readings from that day. He went to the hospital, where doctors found that he needed immediate treatment. “I was on the verge of a heart attack and could have collapsed at any moment,” said Gallart. “The ECG feature was instrumental in saving my life. Without its warning, I may not have sought help in time.”

In Jordan, Dr. Ahmad Sharadgah started getting repeated alerts on his Galaxy Watch Ultra about irregular heart rhythms. Even though he felt perfectly healthy, he did not ignore the alerts and decided to visit the hospital. There, doctors found he had advanced atherosclerosis, a serious heart condition that could have gone overlooked without the smartwatch warning. “Thanks to the alerts from my watch, I was able to take action before it was too late,” Said Ahmad. “Galaxy Watch Ultra not only saved my life but also spared my family from what could have been a devastating tragedy. I’m profoundly grateful.”

Even during emergencies in the air, the Galaxy Watch has proven helpful. On a flight from Las Vegas to Seoul, a passenger became unconscious. Dr. Jongmo Seo, a medical professor on board, needed to monitor the passenger’s condition for proper care. Thankfully, a flight attendant’s Galaxy Watch helped monitor oxygen saturation and pulse in real time via the blood oxygen (SpO2) feature.
