December 2025 Security Update Rolling Out to a Bunch of Galaxy Devices

Samsung has been rolling out the December 2025 security patch for several Galaxy devices over the past two days. The company has now expanded the rollout to five more models. These include the Galaxy A05, Galaxy A24, and the Exynos variant of the Galaxy S21 FE. On the tablet side, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ have also joined the list.

Galaxy A05, A24, S21 FE, and Tab S10 FE series receive December 2025 security patch

The Galaxy A05 has started receiving the December 2025 security update in Vietnam and Thailand. The update carries the firmware version A055FXXSCDYL2. It is still based on Android 15, as the device’s software support ends with this version. The December 2025 security patch addresses around 57 security vulnerabilities identified by Samsung, Google, and other partners.

Samsung has also rolled out the December 2025 security patch for the Galaxy A24. The update is currently live in South Korea. The package carries the build number A245NKSS7EYL2.

On the flagship side, the Exynos variant of the Galaxy S21 FE has received this month’s security patch in more regions. The update has been released in several regions, including India, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Turkey, and a few others. It carries the firmware version G990EXXSKHYK5, and the update package size is slightly over 300 MB.

Samsung has also pushed the December 2025 security update to its Fan Edition tablets. The Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ have started receiving the update in South Korea. The Galaxy Tab S10 FE Wi-Fi variant carries the build number X520XXS5BYL2, while the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ Wi-Fi variant comes with X620XXS5BYL2.

If you own any of the devices mentioned above, you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the download is complete, tap Install now. Make sure your device has sufficient battery charge and is not overheating before installing the update.
