Samsung Preps for One UI 8 Rollout with Good Guardians Update

As it prepares to roll out One UI 8 to Galaxy devices, Samsung has updated the Good Guardians suite with One UI 8 support. This update ensures all models work smoothly on the new One UI version. It should soon be available for Galaxy users across all supported markets.

Samsung updates Good Guardians with One UI 8 support

Good Guardians is Samsung’s companion app that delivers deep-level utilities for system maintenance. Similar to Good Lock, Git uses a modular system, offering separate downloadable tools to help monitor, optimize, and protect your Galaxy device. Here’s a quick rundown of its six current modules:

• Battery Tracker: Shows detailed battery usage insights by day or week, helping you understand how power is consumed over time.
• Battery Guardian: Identifies misbehaving apps that drain power and blocks them to improve battery life.
• Galaxy App Booster: Optimizes app performance by reconfiguring executable files — ideal for smoother multitasking.
• Media File Guardian: Detects and lets you delete hidden or leftover files from edited media, freeing up unnecessary storage.
• Memory Guardian: Monitors real-time RAM usage by apps and services and lets you clean up memory with one tap.
• Thermal Guardian: Helps you manage device temperature by pinpointing sources of heat and offering smart solutions to cool things down.

Samsung has now updated the Good Guardians app to version 8.0.0.7, bringing full support for One UI 8. This is the first major update since version 7.0.14, which launched back in January for One UI 7-based devices. With this new release, Samsung is aligning the Good Guardians app with its latest software experience, ensuring users can continue accessing its essential tools.

The update arrives just days after the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, which ship with One UI 8 pre-installed. Naturally, Samsung is focused on delivering a stable, optimized experience for new foldable buyers, but it’s also preparing One UI 8 for older models, including the Galaxy S25, S24, S23, and Fold/Flip 6 series. Updating native apps like Good Guardians is part of this effort.
