Samsung looks set to significantly expand its One UI 8.5 beta program this year. And for the first time, Fan Edition devices could be part of the early testing phase. New evidence suggests the company is readying beta builds for the Galaxy S25 FE and Galaxy S24 FE. One UI 8.5 beta builds have also appeared for the Galaxy Z TriFold, Fold 6, and Flip 6.

Samsung prepares wider One UI 8.5 Beta rollout

Last week, Samsung kicked off One UI 8.5 beta testing for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. This marked the first expansion of the beta program beyond the Galaxy S25 series. Now, the company appears to be preparing beta releases for a bunch of other devices. Shortly after the Galaxy S24 series, new beta builds have also surfaced for the Galaxy S25 FE, S24 FE, Galaxy Z TriFold, Fold 6, and Flip 6.

If Samsung moves forward with a public release, this would mark a notable shift in its software strategy. Historically, Fan Edition (FE) devices have not been included in early beta programs. They typically receive stable updates after the main flagship models. That could finally change with One UI 8.5.

While there’s no official confirmation yet, server listings like these usually appear shortly before beta programs go live. If Samsung follows its usual pattern, the rollout will likely be limited to select regions, including South Korea, Germany, India, Poland, the UK, and the US. If you own any of the aforementioned devices in one of these regions, it’s worth keeping an eye on the Samsung Members app.

Samsung has already debuted One UI 8.5 alongside the Galaxy S26 series. However, it continues to work on the update, further refining the everyday experience. The Galaxy S25 series may soon pick up the stable update, but it could be a while before a wider rollout.
