Samsung Prepares New One UI 8 Beta Build (ZYES) for Galaxy S25 Series

Just yesterday, Samsung launched its Android 16-based One UI 8 beta program. And now it looks like the Korean firm is gearing up to push a new beta build to eligible users very soon, as it has already updated the test server with the latest version. This raises hopes for several Galaxy owners who were left out of the initial One UI 8 beta rollout.

New One UI 8 beta build emerges on the test server

As of now, the One UI 8 beta program is only available for Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. You must also be located in one of these countries: Germany, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States. However, Samsung may soon expand the list of supported countries, at least to China, India, and Poland. These three countries were part of the One UI 7 beta program, so they may also receive early access to One UI 8.

As spotted by tipster Tarun Vats, Samsung has just added a new beta build with version ZYES for the Galaxy S25 Ultra on its test server. However, developers and enthusiasts are eager to test the unreleased build, so they installed it on their devices, revealing that the build weighs over 1.2GB (via @Topraks9plus).

While it’s unclear whether Samsung will release that build publicly or keep it for internal testing, it raises hopes for many Galaxy users who were waiting to try out the latest software. If Samsung intends to release it publicly, we can assume that the company may roll out the ZYES build for Galaxy S25 series users in China, India, and Poland. Beta community pages are already live in India and Poland, though the page in China is still under the wraps.

As part of the first beta wave, Samsung is currently rolling out the ZYER build in Germany, South Korea, the UK, and the US. So, ZYES build might roll out in these countries as beta 2, though chances are very low, as Tarun Vats points out. We will learn more about the newly spotted build in the coming weeks.
