Samsung Partners with Turkish Airlines to Launch Smart Tagged Baggage Service

Samsung has partnered with Turkish Airlines to improve the travel experience for passengers by using “Smart Tagged Baggage Service” to track lost or delayed luggage more efficiently. The move aims to reduce baggage-related issues and improve overall customer satisfaction.

A new smart tracking feature to help flyers locate lost or delayed luggage

Samsung and Turkish Airlines launched the “Smart Tagged Baggage Service” on December 1, 2025. It helps to improve the travel experience by using Samsung SmartThings Find. If you are travelling with Turkish Airlines and attach a Galaxy SmartTag to your luggage, both you and the airline can track the location of the bag through SmartThings Find.

SmartThings Find uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, supported by a global network of more than 700 million Galaxy devices. This allows users to locate items that have a Galaxy SmartTag attached.

Turkish Airlines can now track and recover luggage with a SmartTag. Passengers can send a link from the SmartThings Find app, which shares the latest location of the device. Travellers can also upload an image of the baggage using the “Change Device Image” feature, helping airline staff and officials identify it more easily.

This partnership makes it easier for both users and airlines to track luggage and recover lost items faster. It also reduces passengers’ stress when their bags are delayed or misplaced, making air travel more reliable and secure. Turkish Airlines has confirmed it intends to work with Samsung long-term to further improve customer experience and satisfaction.
