Samsung has taken another step toward rolling out its Android 16-based One UI 8 Beta program for the Galaxy A36. The company has launched a dedicated One UI 8 Beta page for the phone in its Community forums, signaling that the program’s official start is just around the corner. It’s also preparing beta updates for the Galaxy A35, A55, and A54.

One UI 8 Beta forum goes live for Galaxy A36

Over the past few days, Samsung has created One UI 8 Beta forums for several Galaxy devices. The Galaxy A36 is the latest to join this ever-growing list — the company also plans beta releases for the Galaxy S23 series, Tab S10 series, Fold 5, and Flip 5. It has already released beta updates for the Galaxy S25, S24, Fold 6, and Flip 6.

The newly opened Galaxy A36 Beta page will serve as the central hub for official announcements, changelogs, and updates during the testing phase. It will also allow participating users to share feedback, report bugs, and discuss experiences directly with Samsung and fellow beta testers. For Galaxy A36 owners who have been waiting eagerly, this is the clearest sign yet that the beta is imminent.

Samsung has not revealed the exact rollout date, but the program is confirmed for September 2025. Internal testing is already underway, with a test build carrying firmware version A366EXXU4ZYH8 recently surfacing on the company’s software servers. Though this may not end up being the final release candidate, it confirms that development is moving forward smoothly.

The upcoming One UI 8 will be the first of the six major OS upgrades for the Galaxy A36. It promises a host of improvements over One UI 7, including a more refined interface with simplified navigation and smoother performance across apps and multitasking. The update also brings enhanced privacy and security to Galaxy devices. Stay tuned for the beta launch.
