Samsung is just about ready to close the chapter on One UI 7. Based on our analysis of the company’s software support policy and recent rollout activity, only three Galaxy devices now remain to be updated to One UI 7: the Galaxy M05, Galaxy F05, and Galaxy XCover 6 Pro. We expect the updates to land on these models before the end of July, paving the way for the One UI 8 rollout in August.

Samsung will soon wrap up its One UI 7 rollout

Based on Android 15, Samsung’s One UI 7 update faced massive delays for various reasons. After a long wait, a global rollout finally began in early April this year. However, the company briefly paused the update due to unforeseen issues. Since resuming the rollout in late April, Samsung has updated dozens of Galaxy smartphones and tablets across various price points to One UI 7. If we count individual models, the company has updated over 70 devices.

If we look at the list of eligible devices (not an official list, but one made based on Samsung’s software support policy for various device categories), only the Galaxy M05, Galaxy F05, and Galaxy XCover 6 Pro now await One UI 7. These final three models may make the jump before the end of July, aligning perfectly with Samsung’s broader strategy. Their updates should mark the formal conclusion of the One UI 7 push.

This also means all eyes are now turning to One UI 8, Samsung’s next major software release. Built on Android 16, the update is currently in beta testing for the Galaxy S25 series. The company looks on track to begin a stable release in early August. The newly launched foldables — Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip 7 FE — run One UI 8 out of the box. If the current pace holds, this update could reach all eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets by the end of 2025.
