It always looked like it would happen, and Samsung today officially confirmed that the One UI 7.0 beta update will be expanded to more Galaxy devices. The Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6 will receive the first beta update tomorrow, March 6, followed by the Galaxy S23 series, Tab S10 series, and Galaxy A55 later this month. The company also finally revealed the official update timeline.
Samsung reveals the official One UI 7.0 rollout timeline
According to Samsung, the “official update of One UI 7 will be available within April.” This likely means the company will roll out the stable version to the Galaxy S24 series and the aforementioned models next month. Other eligible budget and mid-range devices may have to wait until May. Samsung should provide a more specific roadmap for each region closer to the official rollout.
“Integrating leading AI agents with multimodal capabilities into every touch point of the interface, One UI 7 marks a significant leap forward in creating a new kind of mobile experience where every interaction feels more intuitive than ever before,” Samsung said in a press release. The company is indirectly telling users that these AI advancements delayed the update.
Sure enough, One UI 7.0 is a huge update with tons of AI-driven functions that enhance your everyday usage. However, delaying the rollout until April is not a good idea. This has dealt a massive blow to Samsung’s reputation, as trolls are targeting it relentlessly. The firm has become a laughing stock because it still hasn’t released the Android 15 update when Google is closing in on the stable Android 16 release.
Hopefully, Samsung will begin the stable rollout in early April and not delay it until late. It originally promised to release the update before the end of March, but has failed to deliver on that. We will let you know when we have more information.
