Samsung Notes is Getting Math Solver, Custom Toolbar and More

Samsung Notes is already one of the most feature-rich apps in its category. Beyond basic note-taking, it lets you create and annotate PDFs, sketch and draw with precision, and organize content into digital notebooks. Now, it’s about to get even better. According to reliable tipster @Theordysm, a future update will bring several practical enhancements that make the app even more powerful and user-friendly.
Samsung prepares a major update for its Notes app
One of the biggest additions is a math solver feature. Soon, Samsung Notes on your phone will let you write math problems and get instant solutions within the app. This is a welcome tool for students, teachers, and anyone who does quick calculations or equation-solving on the go. Samsung has been working on this feature for a long time, and it’s finally on the way.
Additionally, Samsung Notes is getting a customizable toolbar. Samsung will let users choose which tools appear at the top of the screen while writing or drawing. You can select the tools that you use more often and remove the unwanted ones, speeding up your workflow and reducing clutter. You’ll be able to drag, reorder, or remove tools to suit your preferences, making it a seamless experience.
Finding older notes is also getting easier. The update will add search filters, allowing users to narrow down results using tags, time frames, or keywords. You’ll be able to view recent tags, filter by time, or ensure results include specific words — helping you track down exactly what you need, faster.
Last but not least, Samsung is refining the app’s interface. The next Samsung Notes update will introduce a new default note style with a cleaner, more modern design. You can also choose to split pages or select infinite scroll for long notes. Samsung offers three styles for pages: Normal, Landscape, and Long. This redesign makes navigation smoother and more visually pleasant.
These upcoming features reflect Samsung’s push to make its Notes app more powerful, customizable, and user-friendly. It’s unclear if we’ll have to wait until One UI 8 for this update or if Samsung will roll out the new version earlier. We will keep you posted.
