Samsung has expanded its Sound Tower lineup with two new portable speakers, the ST50F and S540F, at IFA 2025. Both are designed for indoor and outdoor settings, and come with richer sound, lighting effects, and a few extra tricks up their sleeve.

The new Sound Towers from Samsung are the ST50F and S540F

Samsung’s new ST50F comes loaded with dual 6.5-inch woofers and dual 1-inch dome tweeters. Whereas, the smaller ST40F packs 5.25-inch woofers paired with 0.75-inch dome tweeters. Both make use of Samsung’s Waveguide technology for wider sound dispersion and you can pick three bass presets: Deep, Punchy, and Gentle. On top of that, you can switch between Standard, Wide, Stadium, and Outdoor modes.

The ST50F keeps the music going for up to 18 hours on a single charge, while the ST40F tops out at around 12 hours. To make hauling them around easier, the bigger model comes with a telescopic handle and wheels, and the smaller one includes a built-in carry handle. Both are rated IPX4, so they can handle a splash or a bit of light rain without missing a beat. Pun intended.

When it comes to connectivity, you get Stereo Play with True Wireless Stereo for clean left-right separation, plus Auracast Group Play to link multiple Sound Towers together. Samsung has also thrown in extras like a DJ Booth, Karaoke modes, and even a guitar input… all of it controlled through the Sound Tower app.

Moreover, the Party Lights+ system brings five mood presets and six animated patterns—Wave, Trail, Spark, Breeze, Flow, and Flare—that sync to the rhythm of the music. The ST50F in particular stands out with its racetrack-style light strip across the front, along with accents around the tweeters, base, and handle. This gives it a flashier look than the predecessors.

The Sound Tower ST50F comes at $699.99, while the ST40F comes in at $499.99. You can’t buy either one just yet… Samsung says both models will hit the shelves later this month. We’ll be sure to let you know once they’re available.
