AI often takes center stage whenever Samsung announces a new product. That’s not a bad thing. After all, Galaxy phones are packed with helpful AI-powered features that make our lives easier. There are also a few that are just fun to have around. Now, a new rumor suggests that Samsung could be bringing an AI-powered image-to-video generator to Galaxy phones.
Samsung could be planning to add image-to-video generator in future Galaxy phones
According to PandaFlashPro, who’s mostly reliable with such developments, Samsung is developing an AI-powered image-to-video generator for future smartphones. The source does not reveal much but mentions that you may be able to turn your photos into short, “few-second” videos. In other words, think of it as creating a brief animation or visual snippet.
There is no shortage of image-to-video generators online, and many have been doing this for quite some time. But here is what you might be overlooking. Google recently announced Veo 2, which can generate highly realistic short video clips from image or text prompts. If everything goes right, Google could be the one powering Samsung’s upcoming feature. That is entirely plausible, given the increasingly close partnership between Samsung and Google.
PandaFlashPro refers to “future smartphones” which might suggest that the feature is intended for the Galaxy S26 series. That release is still a while off, so it is unclear if that is what the tipster meant. Samsung does have a launch event coming up in July, but it typically does not debut major features like this with the Galaxy Z series, making the Galaxy S26 series a more likely candidate.
Galaxy phones already come with a solid lineup of AI-based image editing tools. If Samsung does launch this image-to-video generator, it would be a welcome addition to its growing suite of AI features.
