Samsung May Begin One UI 8 Rollout in Early August, Moderator Suggests

Earlier this month, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 with One UI 8 onboard. However, the company hasn’t said anything about its wider rollout for existing Galaxy devices. Apart from a limited beta release for the Galaxy S25 series, One UI 8 isn’t officially available for any other model. Thankfully, a recent comment from a community moderator offers a promising hint: the Android 16-based update may be out in early August.

Samsung moderator hints at stable One UI 8 rollout for Galaxy devices

In a community post detailing new camera features, gallery upgrades, and other camera-related enhancements in One UI 8, a Samsung moderator stated that the new Galaxy Enhance-X features will be available for other devices after July 30. This comment strongly suggests that One UI 8 may begin rolling out to older Galaxy devices in late July or early August.

As you might expect, the Galaxy S25 series should lead the line. The latest flagships already have access to One UI 8 beta in some markets, including the US, the UK, India, Germany, Poland, and South Korea. Samsung should simultaneously release the stable build for the devices early next month. The Galaxy S25 Edge, which doesn’t get beta access, should accompany the regular flagship trio in the stable version.

One UI 8 brings several meaningful improvements, especially in the camera and gallery departments. You get more powerful editing tools through the Galaxy Enhance-X app, AI enhancements for photo remastering and noise reduction, smarter gallery sorting and suggestions, and a lot more. If the rollout begins in August, Samsung should quickly expand it to most eligible models by the end of September.
