Samsung has recently introduced a new smart service called ‘AI Pre-Care Notification’ to help its customers take care of their smart home appliances. Right now, this service is available for those customers who are part of Samsung’s AI Subscription Club. It aims to fix problems with several appliances using AI before they become severe.
What is the ‘AI Pre-Care Notification’ service?
In a Newsroom post, Samsung explains the ‘AI Pre-Care Notification’ service and how it works. This service leverages AI to analyze data collected from a remote diagnosis system. It then detects abnormalities in home appliances and provides diagnosis information to the users through a push notification. It is worth noting that the remote diagnosis system only works with products connected to the SmartThings app.
This is a particularly useful service for customers who do not want to go through the hassle of directly requesting service. For example, when the system detects any abnormal temperature fluctuation in a refrigerator, it lets the user know early so that they can take action on it before a major failure. So, this service not only saves time but also saves money by identifying potential damage to your smart home appliances early.
As of now, it works with 10 types of home appliances that are available through Samsung’s subscription program, including air conditioners, washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, kimchi refrigerators, dishwashers, induction cookers, ovens, robot vacuum cleaners, and air dressers.
Samsung says it can diagnose 24 different symptoms, such as low refrigerant in air conditioners, high temperatures in refrigerators, and washing machine connection issues. The Korean firm plans to gradually expand the number of supported home appliances, as well as detectable symptoms, in the future.
Even though there is no fault in your smart home appliances, Samsung provides information such as diagnosis results, usage patterns, and energy usage to its AI Subscription Club customers each month via the ‘Monthly Care Report’.
Samsung also offers the option to opt out of this service at any time. To provide more professional and smooth service to subscription customers, Samsung is now setting up dedicated organizations within its sales, customer service, logistics, and more.
