Samsung Highlights Galaxy Z Fold 7’s Ultra-Level Camera Upgrades

The latest Galaxy Z Fold 7 is gaining a lot of attention from consumers around the world. Thanks to Samsung for bringing several meaningful upgrades to the Fold device — from design to processor to camera. The company has now shared key facts and figures about its powerful camera improvements.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 delivers stunning photos with a new 200MP camera

Galaxy Z Fold 7 is Samsung’s most advanced foldable phone to date. The device integrates a 200MP ultra-high-resolution main camera, the same one found in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Combined with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip and the AI-powered ProVisual Engine, the camera system delivers next-level photo clarity and detail.

Speaking of the key benefits of the new wide-angle camera, users can expect brighter, sharper, and more detailed shots than ever before. Compared to the Fold 6, the new camera captures 44% brighter and four times more detailed photos. It also delivers excellent image quality at 2x optical-grade zoom — you won’t lose photo clarity even when digitally zooming in. On top of that, you now get a seven times faster shutter speed than the predecessor’s camera system.

As for the 12MP ultra-wide lens, Samsung says it now supports auto focus, allowing you to take close-ups with exceptional sharpness and depth. The enhanced 100-degree front camera (10MP) on the main display also brings big improvements for selfies and group photos. It captures 25% wider and 5 times clearer shots than those taken with the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Thanks to Wide Distortion Correction, the selfie camera automatically adjusts proportions and reduces distortion when faces are near the edges of frames. Furthermore, AI helps make more natural skin textures on photo subjects, while enhanced HDR makes portraits look more real.

Thanks to the ProVisual Engine, Galaxy Z Fold 7 is perfect for night photography and video as well. It uses an advanced Spatio-Temporal Filter that separates the subject from the background to reduce background noise. As a result, we get sharper night footage with natural light and fine detail. On top of that, the device supports 10-bit HDR video recording, Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG), and LOG video recording.
