Samsung Health just launched a new feature to help users to save some bucks on their prescription medications. By teaming up with GoodRx, Samsung Health now offers nationwide medication discounts directly inside the app.

Samsung partners with GoodRx to bring medication savings to Health app

You can add prescriptions directly to Samsung Health and see how much they cost at different pharmacies in your area. The app then surfaces GoodRx coupons that match your medication, giving you the option to download and redeem them on the spot. Presenting one at the counter is enough to secure the lower price.

What makes the feature even more accessible is that it works for everyone, regardless of insurance status. That said, it’s worth noting that according to the 2023 census, more than 92% of Americans had some form of insurance during the year. Even so, the lack of forms, fees, or insurance details makes the process refreshingly simple.

Samsung says it won’t share this data with anyone

Samsung also points out in the fine print that no user data is shared with GoodRx or third parties. That clarification is significant, especially since GoodRx was previously fined and forced to pay a settlement over privacy violations.

According to Samsung, the goal is to help people who struggle with medication costs. By making discounts easier to access and compare, the company hopes users will be able to follow their prescriptions more consistently. That, in turn, helps reduce skipped doses and supports better long-term health outcomes.
