Samsung Galaxy Weekly Update Roundup (Jan 18-25)

This week was very busy for Samsung. The company rolled out the January 2026 security patch to over 50 Galaxy devices, covering a wide range of models from flagships to budget phones. Alongside this, Samsung also began One UI 8.5 testing for a few additional Galaxy phones. The One UI 8.5 Beta 4 update for the Galaxy S25 series was expected to release earlier this week. However, due to unknown reasons, Samsung delayed the release. The update is now expected to roll out by January 26 or 27. It should arrive as Beta 4 in Korea, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In India and Poland, it should be labeled as Beta 3.

Samsung also expanded One UI 8.5 internal testing to more models. The Galaxy M15 and Galaxy M36 were spotted with their first One UI 8.5 builds on Samsung’s test servers in South Korea.
