Samsung Galaxy M17 5G and F17 Spotted on Geekbench Ahead of Launch

Samsung is cooking up a couple of new budget-friendly phones for its Galaxy M and Galaxy F lineups. They won’t be landing in the US, but in the markets where they do launch, these series usually end up among Samsung’s best sellers. The Galaxy M17 5G and F17 5G have already shown up on the Google Play Console, and now both phones have been spotted on Geekbench as their launch gets closer.

Tipster Mohammed Khatri caught the Geekbench listings, with the Galaxy M17 5G pulling in 762 points in single-core and 1,596 in multi-core. The Galaxy F17 5G, on the other hand, scored higher with 975 in single-core and 2,242 in multi-core. These numbers suggest the F17 may end up a bit stronger, at least in raw performance.

There’s no confirmed release date yet, but if history is anything to go by, the launch might not be too far off. The Galaxy M16 5G and F16 5G arrived in March, though Samsung could push the M17 5G and F17 5G out a little earlier this time. For reference, the previous models first appeared on Geekbench roughly a month before their official unveiling.

The Geekbench listing also reveals a few other details. Both phones might run Android 15-based One UI 7 out of the box. Earlier leaks hinted at 4GB RAM models, but this latest benchmark shows 8GB RAM variants as well, which means we could see multiple configurations on the market. Under the hood, both devices might feature the Exynos 1330 chipset.

If past launches are anything to go by, the Galaxy M17 5G and F17 5G will likely share plenty of hardware DNA with the Galaxy A17 5G. That should give buyers a pretty good idea of what’s coming, just at a more wallet-friendly price point.
