Samsung launches the Galaxy A56 in the US

The Galaxy A56 is a 5G-enabled smartphone that mixes premium features with affordability. As expected, the company is pushing AI front and center with what it calls Awesome Intelligence. You get features like Circle to Search, Object Eraser, Best Face, and Slo-mo Video (via Galaxy Enhance-X).  These Galaxy AI features are designed to make the A56 more than just another mid-range device.

Moreover, as part of Samsung’s AI push, the Galaxy A56 includes Gemini Live integration, accessible via the side key (power button). This provides a direct gateway to Google’s powerful AI assistant, enhancing productivity and information access on the go.

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy A56 with a 50MP main camera and a 12MP front camera, both supporting Nightography for better low-light performance. These aren’t the flagship-grade cameras found on the Galaxy S line, but still very capable. The handset sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display offering up to 1,200 nits of brightness.

The Galaxy A56 doesn’t cut corners on durability and security either. You get Corning Gorilla Glass protection and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. Additionally, Samsung Knox Vault and Knox Matrix ensure top-tier privacy and device protection, even for enterprise users. Samsung’s long-term software commitment means the device is eligible for six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security patches
