It hasn’t been long since Samsung launched the Galaxy A17. In select markets, the company even included a charger in the box with the phone. Now, it seems Samsung is planning to launch the 4G variant of the Galaxy A17 soon, as it has appeared in a listing on a Kenyan website.

Samsung will soon launch the Galaxy A17 4G

Generally, Samsung releases a 4G counterpart for its Galaxy A1x series, and that’s exactly what’s happening here. Nothing’s changing in that regard. Although Samsung hasn’t officially announced the 4G variant yet, the Kenya listing confirms that it’s coming soon.

The listing, spotted by GSMArena, shows the Galaxy A17 4G 6/128GB variant priced at KSH 22,999 (around $179) in Kenya. The available color options—Black, Blue, and Gray—are the same as those of the Galaxy A17 5G variant.

Naturally, the two phones look almost identical, with the main difference being 4G versus 5G support. Beyond that, the Galaxy A17 4G is powered by the Helio G99 chipset, while the 5G variant comes with the faster Exynos 1330 processor. Neither variant have gotten a chipset upgrade.

The Galaxy A17 4G features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The listing mentions a 6/128GB storage option, though there’s a chance that higher storage variants will also be available.

On the camera front, it sports a triple rear setup with 50MP + 5MP + 2MP sensors and a 13MP front camera. The phone will launch running Android 15-based One UI 7 and will receive six years of software upgrades. It houses a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired charging support.
