Samsung Fixes Launcher Widget Issue with MultiStar 10.2.13 Update

Samsung has rolled out an update for its MultiStar app with version 10.2.13. The update improves performance and fixes the issue where launcher widgets did not appear on the cover screen for Galaxy Z Flip users. The latest build should be available for all eligible Galaxy users globally within the next few days.

New MultiStar update brings back Galaxy Z Flip cover screen launcher widget

MultiStar is a popular module within Samsung’s Good Lock suite that improves multitasking experiences on Galaxy devices. It allows you to use multiple apps at the same time in Multi Window mode. One of the standout features is the Cover Launcher Widget, which allows you to launch game apps or some media apps directly from the cover screen. This eliminates the need for unfolding your phone to enjoy your favorite content.

However, after updating to the One UI 8, some users noticed that the Cover Launcher Widget was missing from the cover screen of Galaxy Z Flip devices. Thankfully, the latest version of the MultiStar app has fixed the issue, as confirmed by a Samsung Community moderator. The moderator said that affected users will need to delete and re-add the widget for the feature to work properly. To do so, simply follow this route: Settings > Cover Screen.

In addition to fixing the launcher widget issue, Samsung has also optimized application performance with the latest update. You can now expect improved responsiveness while configuring the multitasking features through the module. If you want all these enhancements, you should install the latest build of the MultiStar app. To do so, open the Good Lock app and go to the Plugins tab. If available, you will see the latest version ready to update.

Meanwhile, Samsung is rolling out the stable One UI 8 updates to several older Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Flip 4. After installing the latest Android 16 software, don’t forget to update the MultiStar app to ensure the cover screen launcher widget works properly.
