Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A57 recently secured the TENAA certification in China, revealing key specs in the process. The standout detail is its physical footprint: the phone is shorter, narrower, thinner, and lighter than its predecessor. However, it still packs a full 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging.

Samsung has been on a mission to make phones slimmer and lighter without sacrificing features. With each new generation of devices, the company has cut on weight and thickness while improving or maintaining identical specs, including the battery capacity. The Galaxy A57 continues that push, if the latest certification listing shows accurate figures.

According to the TENAA documentation, the upcoming premium midrange smartphone measures 161.5×76.8×6.9 mm in dimensions and weighs 182 grams. In comparison, last year’s Galaxy A56 has dimensions of 162.2×77.5×7.4 mm and weighs 198 grams. As you can see, the 2026 model is 0.7mm shorter, 0.7mm narrower, 0.5mm thinner, and 16 grams lighter than its predecessor.

Despite a slim and compact profile, Samsung has managed to pack in a 5,000mAh battery, which is impressive. This also tells us the reason why the company hasn’t been offering bigger batteries in Galaxy phones, unlike the competition in the midrange segment. Samsung is using any extra room to slim down the devices rather than increasing the battery capacity.

The Galaxy A57 also supports 45W wired charging. Samsung is attacking where users feel things most: design, battery life, and charging speed. Those are everyday wins, not spec-sheet flexes.
