Samsung Expands Galaxy S25 Battery Information, But Not for Everyone

by | Mar 5, 2025 | Galaxy S, News

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series introduced extended battery information, providing insights like battery health percentage, cycle count, manufacturing date, and first use date. However, this feature remains limited to select markets, leaving many users without access. The February security update has expanded its availability to more users, but a global rollout has yet to happen.

Some Galaxy S25 users are still missing extended battery information

At launch, the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra showed additional battery information only in a handful of markets, including Europe. The feature was missing in the US, India, and many other markets. It looked like Samsung was still working on the new Settings page, planning to roll it out to more users later.

Sure enough, the February update introduced detailed battery information to more Galaxy S25 phones. The folks at Android Authority confirm that the battery details started showing up on their Galaxy S25 devices following the latest security update, which rolled out a few weeks back.

While it’s good to see Samsung quickly expanding the missing feature to more users, it’s still not available globally. We have checked on several Galaxy S25 units in the US and India (all three models, carrier-locked and unlocked), and none have extended battery information. This is despite all running the February patch.

Samsung has not clarified whether it will expand this feature globally anytime soon. Interestingly, Android Authority’s Galaxy S25 units that received these battery details after the February update shipped with the November build. All of our devices ran the December build out of the box. European Galaxy S25 users who had this feature from day one also got their phones with the December update installed.

This inconsistency suggests the feature is still a work in progress. Hopefully, Samsung will bring the battery details to Galaxy S25 users globally soon. The feature should also roll out to other Galaxy devices with One UI 7.0, which arrives next month.
