Samsung Display continues to expand its presence in the automotive display market. The company is now supplying OLED screens for the Zeekr 9X, a flagship luxury electric SUV in China. These screens allow the EV maker to offer cutting-edge display solutions in its premium vehicle.

Samsung OLED displays improve the luxury interior of the Zeekr 9X

Part of China’s Geely Group, Zeekr is a premium electric vehicle brand that launched its flagship 9X SUV last year. Priced at 500,000 yuan, the car quickly gained traction, ranking first in China’s large SUV sales for two consecutive months since last November. Now, we know that Samsung Display powers the 9X’s advanced display system.

The Korean display maker is supplying three OLED screens: a 16-inch center information display (CID), a 16-inch passenger information display (PID), and a 17-inch rear seat entertainment (RSE) screen. These screens offer an immersive digital environment for both front and rear passengers.

The two 16-inch front displays are arranged side by side, stretching from the driver’s seat to the passenger seat. Both screens appear almost like a single large panel, providing a large-screen experience. Thanks to OLED technology, the displays offer true black image quality. Moreover, they work independently, allowing the driver and passenger to access different content according to their needs.

Meanwhile, the EV maker mounted a 17-inch rear-seat entertainment screen to the ceiling, featuring a wing-style sliding design. The screen moves along rails installed on the left and right sides of the vehicle’s interior. As such, it moves up to 88 centimeters between the second and third rows.

“Samsung Display’s automotive OLED is the optimal solution for completing a high-quality mobility experience, equipped with high brightness as well as perfect true black image quality,” said Choi Yong-seok, senior vice president of the Auto Sales Team at Samsung Display. “We will continue to strengthen our partnerships with global automotive clients and lead the growth of the automotive OLED market by continuously introducing high-performance products with differentiated value in the future.”
