Samsung Notes could bring more font options to improve the note-taking experience. The app currently only uses the device’s system fonts, which limits how users can organize and style their notes. However, the company is listening to user feedback and considering improvements in the future.

Samsung Notes may bring an improved font customization experience

Shipped pre-installed on Galaxy devices, Samsung Notes offers a bunch of tools to create text notes, pdf, record voice memos, and more. This comes in handy for people who use it for school, work, or personal projects. You can also save notes to the Cloud, share them on social media, or organize them in folders. It is easily one of the most feature-rich note-taking apps out there.

However, a key capability is still missing: flexible font options. As of now, all text in Samsung Notes uses the system font that is set on the device. This means you can not select a different font for headings, subheadings, or body text. This could be inconvenient, mainly for students who type a lot and want solid note organization.

A user recently raised the issue in the Samsung community forum. The company promptly responded to the user request, pointing out the hurdles to bringing that functionality. A Samsung Notes manager said, “We apologize for not providing support for fonts yet. Due to copyright issues, we are currently not supporting this. We are considering improving this part.”

This suggests that Samsung may improve font customization and bring new font options in the future. While copyright issues prevent offering third-party fonts, the company seems to be finding a solution. If the firm makes new font options available in a future app update, we’ll let you know. Users are also requesting additional Notes features such as custom file sorting, a masking tape tool, and a table creation feature. Hopefully, Samsung will add those sometime in the future.
