Samsung has officially confirmed that the One UI 7 rollout will resume shortly. In a statement posted on its Korean community forum, the company reassured users that it has addressed the issues that forced it to suspend the update a few days ago. However, the Korean tech giant has yet to announce an exact date for the renewed rollout.
Samsung halted the One UI 7 rollout for “maintenance” work
According to a Samsung Community moderator, the company “temporarily suspended” the One UI 7 update due to some “maintenance requirements.” The moderator added that Samsung “has completed maintenance and will resume the update soon.” This follows insider info from Ice Universe claiming that One UI 7 will be available for the Galaxy S24 series again starting today, April 15.
By the looks of it, Samsung will soon resume the One UI 7 update in Korea, Europe, the US, and Canada, possibly within the next few hours. Additionally, the update could go live in the rest of the world anytime now. Alongside the Galaxy S24 series, One UI 7 has also been released for the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Fold 6, and Fold SE.
As for other devices, Samsung is expected to begin the rollout next week. The Galaxy S23 series should be the next in the line, followed by 2023 foldables. The company also has dozens of budget and midrange models to update. It expects to complete the rollout globally sometime in July. So, depending on your device’s model, you might have to wait several weeks or months for One UI 7.
One UI 7 introduces a refreshed design with updated icons, smoother animations, and an overhauled Quick Settings panel. Samsung has also expanded lockscreen customization options and integrated new Galaxy AI features designed to enhance productivity — such as improved writing assistance and smarter suggestions.
