Samsung Celebrates Galaxy S25 Edge Launch with Doechii at Edge NYC

Samsung recently held an event to celebrate the launch of its Galaxy S25 Edge, featuring Grammy winner Doechii. The goal was to highlight the phone’s ultra-slim design during Doechii’s live performance at Edge NYC. It even allowed fans to enjoy her performance through a live stream on YouTube.
Doechii’s performance marked the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge
Last month, Samsung introduced its slimmest Galaxy S smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Edge, with general sales starting on May 30th. To celebrate the launch, the Korean firm teamed up with Grammy Award-winning Top Dawg Entertainment artist Doechii. It held a VIP event at Edge NYC in Hudson Yards on May 30th at 8 PM ET.
In its Newsroom post, Samsung wrote, “On Friday, May 30th, Samsung Galaxy and Doechii – both innovators pushing boundaries in music and technology – united for a private performance at the Edge NYC in Hudson Yards. To celebrate, Samsung hosted a private event 1,100 feet above the ground at the iconic venue.”
Samsung says Doechii’s performance marked the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge, a slim smartphone with pro-level performance and advanced AI capabilities. Several guests, including LaQuan Smith, Malik McIntrye, Joel Moore-Hagan, and Jaden Smith, also joined Doechii.
Samsung allowed attendees, creators, and tastemakers to capture photos using the Galaxy S25 Edge on the blue carpet. Several fan-favorite Galaxy AI tools, including Motion Photo, Nightography, and Generative Edit, took the center stage. The event also featured a host of interactive moments, including a multi-sensory elevator ride and a “swamp in the sky” powered by Gemini AI.
Furthermore, Samsung gave guests a chance to test the Galaxy S25 Edge and feel its slim and lightweight design. They were asked to guess and compare its weight to ordinary objects, like apples, sunglasses, and more. Basically, Samsung wanted to highlight that the Galaxy S25 Edge not only offers an incredibly light form factor but also packs powerful tools you expect from a smartphone.
Samsung’s ultra-slim Galaxy S smartphone is now available for purchase directly from the official US website. Right now, the company is offering up to $630 instant trade-in credit and a free storage upgrade, so you should grab it before the deal ends.
