While flagship devices await the official rollout of One UI 8, Samsung is ramping up internal testing. Most recently, affordable phones like the Galaxy M06 5G and Galaxy F06 5G have entered the internal One UI 8 testing phase. The budget tablet Galaxy Tab S6 Lite has also joined the process.

More devices enter One UI 8 testing phase!

As spotted by the ever-resourceful Mohammed Khatri, Samsung is now internally testing the Android 16-based One UI 8 for the Galaxy M06 5G, Galaxy F06 5G, and Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. Khatri shared the build versions for each device:

  • Galaxy M06 5G: M066BXXU3BYG7
  • Galaxy F06 5G: E066BXXU3BYG7
  • Galaxy Tab S6 Lite: P625XXU5CYG6

This marks a key step forward in the development of One UI 8. However, the public rollout is still expected to take at least a few more weeks.

The latest Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 already ship with Android 16-based One UI 8, which remains the only way to run it at this stage. Beyond that, the One UI 8 beta is currently available for the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung has released four rounds of beta updates so far. We hope that the fourth will be the final one before the stable version begins rolling out.

Unlike the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, which is an older device, the Galaxy M06 5G and Galaxy F06 5G are relatively new. Both launched in February, running One UI 7 out of the box. They are currently available in select markets and are eligible for over four years of software updates, giving them a long software support lifespan. Interestingly, they debuted with One UI 7 at a time when flagship models like the Galaxy S24 series were still awaiting the update.
