As expected, Samsung has kicked off a global rollout of its One UI 8 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 6 series. The company first released the stable build in South Korea last week, followed by the US. Now, the update has started reaching more markets worldwide, including India and Vietnam, marking the beginning of a broader international rollout.

One UI 8 Watch is now available for the Galaxy Watch 6 series in global markets

Launched with the Galaxy Watch 8 series, One UI 8 Watch is the latest iteration of Samsung’s Wear OS-based smartwatch platform. It runs Wear OS 6 at its core, with tons of Samsung customizations. This update brings performance improvements, UI enhancements, and deeper integration with Galaxy AI features. It also introduces new health features and upgrades.

Samsung has already updated the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra (2024) to the new version. Now, the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 8 Classic are joining the party. The stable rollout began in the two beta-supported markets and has gradually made it to other regions. All Watch 6 users worldwide should receive the One UI 8 Watch update in the coming days.

Since it’s a major OS upgrade, the update size weighs about 1.8GB. You can manually check for it using the Galaxy Wearable app on your paired smartphone. Open the app, go to Watch settings, tap Watch software update, and select Download and install. Make sure your watch has sufficient battery and is connected to Wi-Fi to ensure a smooth installation experience. The new build version is CYK2.

One UI 8 Watch will also make it to the Galaxy Watch 5 series soon, likely in December. Additionally, the Watch 4 series and Watch FE are expected to receive the update in early 2026, if not before the end of this year. We will keep you posted.
