Samsung 2026 Flagship and Foldable Launch Plans May Have Slipped Out

It’s usually easy to guess what devices a company might launch in the near future, but having evidence to support those guesses is different. Samsung often leaves clues in its firmware, sometimes in unreleased builds, which can reveal parts of its launch plans. That has happened again, and we now have an idea of what Samsung may launch in 2026.
Before we go any further, let’s clear up a few things. The names and model numbers listed here are not exhaustive, so there could still be surprises — or disappointments. Android Authority has spotted the model numbers of several upcoming products. While the publication doesn’t specify the exact source beyond software, it’s likely from one of the leaked One UI 8.5 builds.
Samsung will launch these Galaxy devices in 2026, according to report
Samsung devices of all kinds come with model numbers. If you like tinkering, you already know this. For anyone who doesn’t, these numbers act as identifiers for each model and region. According to the outlet, at least six Galaxy models are on the way: SM-S942, SM-S947, SM-S948, SM-F971, SM-F776, and SM-F976.
Here’s what each model number refers to:
- SM-S942: Galaxy S26
- SM-S947: Galaxy S26 Edge / S26+
- SM-S948: Galaxy S26 Ultra
- SM-F971: Galaxy Z Flip 8 FE
- SM-F776: Galaxy Z Flip 8
- SM-F976: Galaxy Z Fold 8
The surprising part is that earlier reports suggested Samsung was done with the Galaxy S26 Edge. Samsung’s focus was believed to have shifted to the Galaxy S26+, which also appeared in the GSMA database under the model number SM-S947B. Even so, the publication still lists a Galaxy S26 Edge. Other reports have also hinted that Samsung may not drop the Edge line yet, so its mention here is worth noting.
The foldables look familiar, and it’s good to see signs of a possible Galaxy Z Flip 8 FE. Now we can only wait to see what changes Samsung brings and whether the Flip FE gets a full cover screen. You may also notice the Galaxy Z TriFold is missing from this list, because that’s expected to launch before the end of the year.
