Rumored Galaxy Z Flip FE Color Options May Not Excite Anyone

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip FE has plenty to be excited about, but color options may not be one of its strong suits. The upcoming affordable foldable is rumored to launch in just two basic shades: black and white. The company could unveil it alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 this July.
Galaxy Z Flip FE may skip bold colors for simplicity
Noted tipster Arsene Lupin recently made a cryptic post on X. “FE,” they wrote, alongside black and white circle emojis. While brief, the post likely hints at the color options for one of Samsung’s upcoming Fan Edition (FE) devices. Given that the Galaxy Z Flip FE is the next in the pipeline, it’s reasonable to assume the tipster is teasing its black and white color variants.
Samsung also has the Galaxy S25 FE in the works. However, it isn’t expected to debut until sometime in September or October. The timing of the post makes it likely that the device in question is the foldable, not the S25 FE. As mentioned above, the Galaxy Z Flip FE may go official at Samsung’s next Unpacked event in early July, reportedly in New York.
Based on leaks, the device could be a rebadged Galaxy Z Flip 6 with Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2400 processor instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing as long as Samsung makes the phone more affordable. Early rumors point to a starting price of $799 for the Galaxy Z Flip FE. The Flip 7 may start at $1,099, the same as its predecessor.
Only launching in black and white may sound limiting, especially compared to the colorful palette often seen in FE devices. However, Samsung’s primary intention here is to lower the entry barrier for foldable phones. If it prices the Flip FE competitively and delivers the core foldable experience, color options may not be a dealbreaker for many consumers.
