Royal Caribbean’s Newest Mega-Ship Is Packed With More Than 6,000 Samsung TVs

Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas — now sailing as the world’s largest cruise ship — is loaded with Samsung screens everywhere you look. Samsung says it has installed more than 6,000 hospitality TVs and smart signage displays across the mega-ship. These displays cover guest rooms, crew cabins, lounges, theaters, and most public spaces.
Samsung put thousands of displays on Royal Caribbean’s new flagship
It’s the latest chapter in a partnership that’s been running for more than two decades and has already put over 200,000 Samsung displays across Royal Caribbean’s fleet. Most cabins on Star of the Seas are using Samsung’s Crystal UHD Hospitality TVs. These are built for commercial environments rather than living rooms. They double as in-room info panels, showing things like daily schedules, destination details, weather updates, and emergency notices.

At the same time, passengers can still treat them like regular TVs too. They support Google Cast, Apple AirPlay, Samsung TV Plus, and the company’s Smart Hub system. Public areas use Samsung’s ultra-slim QMC series signage, which is designed to squeeze high-resolution content into tighter spaces without sticking out like a bulky billboard. The same setup was deployed on Icon of the Seas, the sister ship that launched in 2024.
Moreover, Samsung is also using the occasion to push a new 24-inch model meant for tighter crew quarters and other cramped spaces. Star of the Seas sailed its maiden voyage from Port Canaveral in August 2025. And if you board it, odds are you won’t be far from a Samsung screen at any point. So, this was a little tidbit you can brag about with your friends.
