Pixel’s Scam Detection Feature May Arrive on the Galaxy S26 Series

Google introduced Scam Detection, starting with the Pixel 9 series, which alerts users to potential scams that may occur through calls, text messages, and even chat apps. It uses on-device AI to analyze data, so everything happens on the device. Suffice to say, it’s a useful addition, but the downside is that it’s exclusive to Pixel phones.
Galaxy S26 series could get Google’s Pixel-only scam detection feature
Well, not anymore. According to folks over at Android Authority, the helpful Scam Detection feature might finally be heading to the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. While digging through the Phone by Google app version v206.0.857916353, the outlet uncovered code strings that hint at what’s coming.

Interestingly, those code strings reveal more than just the feature itself. Time and again, we’ve heard and reported which three models will debut at Unpacked, and this discovery adds further confirmation. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 (SM-S942), Galaxy S26+ (SM-S947), and Galaxy S26 Ultra (SM-S948).
The listed model numbers also correspond to US variants, which suggests the feature will most likely roll out in the US first. Google could announce availability for other regions at a later date.
Although Google introduced Scam Detection with the Pixel 9 series, the company later made it available on the Pixel 6 lineup as well. In Samsung’s case, it’s unclear whether older Galaxy phones will support the feature at all. Still, it should arrive on devices with supported hardware, which is necessary given the on-device data processing.
