The wait is almost over, and Android users will soon be able to try Perplexity’s AI-powered Comet browser. Aravind Srinivas, CEO of Perplexity, announced on X that Android users can now pre-register for the Comet browser, which is set to launch soon. Surprisingly, there’s no such announcement for iOS users.

You can pre-register to get Comet browser on your Android device

It’s actually one of the browsers I can confidently recommend to anyone, though I admit I’m probably among those who haven’t yet explored its full potential. Paired with Perplexity Pro, it’s arguably the best option on the market right now.

There are multiple ways to claim the subscription. For example, PayPal and Venmo are currently offering one year of free Perplexity Pro in the US. Indian users with an Airtel prepaid SIM can also claim one year of free access.

Coming back to the browser, you can now pre-register to show your interest in Comet. According to its Play Store listing, Comet claims to offer a bunch of features on the Android app including:

  • Unified AI search, instant context, and automation across every site. Summarize, shop, schedule, and research—directly in the browser.
  • Enjoy the web and let the AI assistant handle your chores.
  • Do everything on your to-do list faster with Comet.
  • Comet adapts to how you think and work, learning your habits to keep you organized. Never lose track of tabs or inspiration.

We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as the rollout officially kicks off and the Comet browser becomes available to download. Until then, the best way to stay ahead is by pre-registering on the Play Store.
