OpenAI Prepares to Bring Sora Video Features Into ChatGPT

OpenAI may be preparing to bring its Sora video generation tool directly into ChatGPT. The latest beta version spills the beans that ChatGPT has been quietly developing the feature, which also aligns with a previous report. Once the feature rolls out, ChatGPT will allow playing beyond texts and images.
ChatGPT and Sora integration surfaces in latest beta
Android Authority crack-opened the ChatGPT version 1.2026.076 for Android, where new text strings point to upcoming video features. These include phrases such as “Video in ChatGPT is here” and descriptions highlighting the ability to transform text and images into videos with dialogue, soundtrack, and distinct visual styles.

While Sora is not mentioned by name, the functionality strongly resembles what the standalone app introduced previously. Sora launched last year and quickly gained attention for its ability to generate highly detailed videos from simple prompts. For example, you could explain what you want in plain language and it will do the heavy lifting.
If completed, the integration could significantly expand what ChatGPT can do. Instead of switching between different tools, users may soon be able to create text, images, and fully generated videos in one place, turning ChatGPT into a more comprehensive creative platform.
Yet, we don’t know when the ChatGPT’s Sora integration will roll out and whether it will. But the early spotting of strings all but confirm what OpenAI has been cooking behind the scenes. Of course, these features are the reasons why you’ll eventually see the price hike in smartphones and and other products. But it’s the world we live in, and there’s no going back.
