One UI 8 Update Will Make The Toast History Feature Useful Again

It’s been a while since Samsung rolled out One UI 7. Since then, many devices have received the Android 15-based update, but a major bug has remained unresolved. Fortunately, that may finally change in the coming days. A Samsung community moderator has confirmed that this is a known issue and that a fix is planned for the upcoming One UI 8 update.

One UI 8 will finally fix the known Toast History feature bug!

Speaking of the bug, in One UI 7 the Toast History feature stopped displaying the actual content of toast notifications. Instead of showing what the toast message said, it only showed which app sent it.

For the uninitiated, toast messages are small, temporary pop-up notifications that briefly appear at the bottom of the screen, often used for quick system or app feedback. The Toast History feature is part of Good Lock’s Nice Catch module, which logs these messages so users can review them later at their convenience.

Responding to user feedback, a Samsung community moderator acknowledged that this was a known issue in One UI 7. The moderator confirmed that Samsung is aware of the problem and is actively working to resolve it. The company plans to restore full toast message visibility in the upcoming One UI 8 update, making the Toast History feature fully functional and more useful again.

With One UI 8, you can expect a functional Toast History feature, which is missing right now. The Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE run One UI 8 right out of the box. So it won’t take much long. The rollout is expected to expand to older Galaxy models in the near future.

Once that happens, the Nice Catch module will likely receive an update to support the restored toast logging capabilities.
