Samsung is keeping up with its update promise. Over the past few weeks, it has delivered One UI 8 to millions of Galaxy users worldwide. The company continues to bring the Android 16-based update to more users, with the Galaxy A53, Galaxy A33, Galaxy M53, Galaxy M33, and Galaxy M15 recently joining the party.

More Galaxy devices make the jump to One UI 8

The new update for these mid-range smartphones is currently rolling out in South Korea, marking the start of the global release. The Galaxy A53 5G is receiving the update with firmware version A536NKSU6GYI2, while the Galaxy A33 5G is getting version A336NKSU7GYI3. That for the Galaxy M33 is M336KKSUBGYI4.

The Galaxy M53, sold as Quantum 3 in Korea, is picking up the build version M536SKSUBGYI4. One UI 8 for the Galaxy M15 5G, aka Galaxy Wide 7, bears firmware version M156SKSU5CYI6. If you own any of these devices, you can check for the Android 16-based update manually by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Since this is a major OS release, expect the OTA file to weigh around 2GB or more.

One UI 8 brings Samsung’s latest design refinements and deeper AI integration, along with feature enhancements in key apps such as Camera, Gallery, and Messages. It also introduces smarter widgets, improved multitasking tools, and smoother animations across the interface. This rollout marks another step in Samsung’s steady expansion of Android 16 across its lineup.

Meanwhile, the company is already rapidly testing One UI 8.5 internally. It is expected to launch public beta programs in late November. The stable version will debut in early 2026 with the Galaxy S26 series. The One UI 8.5 rollout for other models may begin sometime in February or March next year. The Galaxy A53, Galaxy A33, and Galaxy M33 are all expected to receive this update.
