Galaxy XCover 7 One UI 8 Update Now Rolling Out in Several Regions

This week has been exciting for One UI 8 updates, as several devices are receiving the rollout. The latest to join the list is the Galaxy XCover 7, which is now getting the One UI 8 update in multiple regions, according to a reliable update tracker.

Samsung is now rolling out One UI 8 update to Galaxy XCover 7!

According to Mohammed Khatri, Samsung’s rugged Galaxy XCover 7 has started receiving the One UI 8 update in several regions across Southeast Asia and Oceania. Specifically, the update is rolling out in Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, New Zealand, and the Philippines, as Khatri reports. The build version is G556BXXUBDYIA, and it includes the September 2025 security patch.

Owners of the Galaxy XCover 7 in the mentioned regions may want to check if the update is available. To do this, they can go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. If an update is available, they can tap Install now. After a few minutes, the device will restart and boot into Android 16-based One UI 8. Users in other regions should also keep an eye out, as the update could arrive soon.

The Galaxy XCover 7 originally shipped with Android 14-based One UI 6. This update marks its second of four promised major OS upgrades. After that, it will continue receiving security updates for an additional year before support ends. In other words, it is eligible for updates up to Android 18-based One UI 10. However, how many features it gets with each update is something worth discussing.

Meanwhile, Samsung is also developing the One UI 8.5 update, expected to launch early next year. There may also be a beta program starting next month, though it is unlikely the Galaxy XCover 7 will be included. Still, you can check out all the upcoming features in a hands-on video.
