One UI 8 Update Rolling to Galaxy M16 5G in Korea, Expands to Galaxy A26 Globally

Samsung isn’t hitting the brakes when it comes to the One UI 8 update. Day by day, the company is expanding its reach to more devices, with the Galaxy M16 being the latest to join the lineup. At the same time, Samsung is pushing the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy A26 into more regions.

Galaxy M16 picks up One UI 8 update, while Galaxy A26 sees rollout in Europe

As spotted by Mohammed Khatri, Samsung has started rolling out the Android 16-based One UI 8 stable update for the Galaxy M16 5G in Korea. This comes just days after Samsung kicked off the One UI 8 rollout for the Galaxy M series, beginning with the Galaxy M36. The build version in question is M166SKSU3BYI8. It likely packs the September 2025 security patch.

At the same time, Samsung is extending the One UI 8 update to the Galaxy A26 in more regions, including Europe. Once again, the tip comes via Khatri, who credits @rezasadat801 for the information. This rollout follows just a few days after the update first went live in Vietnam. The build version is A266BXXU4BYI2. It includes the September 2025 security patch and weighs in at around 2.3GB.

If you own one of these devices in the mentioned regions, you may want to go ahead and install the update right away. To do so, head over to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the update becomes available and finishes downloading, simply tap Install now and wait for the process to complete. After a restart, your device will wake up running One UI 8.
