Samsung is rapidly expanding the One UI 8 rollout across its lineup. After debuting in South Korea, the company has now released the Android 16-based update for a bunch of devices in global markets. The Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy A34 are receiving One UI 8 in Europe and other regions.
One UI 8 rolls out globally for more Galaxy devices
Samsung’s major OS updates typically debut in Korea before going global, and it was no different with One UI 8. All of the aforementioned devices, and those before them, first received the Android 16-based update in Korea. Now, the new firmware packages are showing up for users in other regions, with a wide availability in Europe. It shouldn’t be long before Samsung covers units worldwide.
While firmware build numbers usually vary depending on the model and region, the update brings a ton of goodies to all Galaxy devices. Flagship models receive new AI features and camera upgrades alongside UI enhancements, optimizations, and smoother animations across the system. One UI 8 is a huge update, refining the plethora oc changes introduced with One UI 7 earlier this year.
Following this expansion, Samsung will soon release One UI 8 for the remaining models. The update recently made it to the Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy A25 in Europe, with more models to join shortly. Galaxy users can manually check for updates by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Meanwhile, Samsung is already preparing One UI 8.5, a minor yet feature-packed update that refines the Android 16 experience. It will debut with the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026 before rolling out to older models. The upcoming update introduces another round of UI enhancements, AI upgrades, and functional improvements. Stay tuned for more.
