One UI 8.5 Will Let You Resize Quick Settings Tiles Your Way

Samsung is skipping minor updates in favor of a bigger One UI 8.5 release, expected to debut with the Galaxy S26 series early next year. That launch is still more than three months away, and Samsung likely will not roll out a beta beforehand. However, a leaked One UI 8.5 build hints at the upcoming changes and could be our first look at the refreshed Quick Settings panel.

Here’s our first look at the upcoming Quick Settings menu in One UI 8.5!

With One UI 8.5, Samsung is introducing resizable Quick Settings, giving users more flexibility and room for personalization (via wr3cckl3ss). This means you can adjust the size of the tiles to better match your preferences. Samsung has also added a new Add a control option at the bottom, making it easier to customize and manage additional toggles. Below, you can see a side-by-side comparison of One UI 8 and One UI 8.5.

In another set of screenshots (added below in the gallery), you can see the device running One UI 8.5. The build number is S938BXXU5CYIA, featuring the September security patch. Notably, this build has been modified to run on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
